My name is Anika Robinson and I run a "for purpose" volunteer driven foster care organization. I often hear that our foster care system is broken. What I don’t hear is what people are willing to do about it. At ASA now and Jacob’s Mission Community Center in Mesa we have created daily opportunities where our community can serve to make a real impact in the lives of our most vulnerable population. Within each one of you lies the potential to curve the statistics that foster children face. You can change the future of one of the 14,000 children that are currently in foster care. The founders of ASA Now are three foster adopt mamas with a dream to change the grim statistics foster children face. Which is that: Two out of three foster children end up dead, homeless or in jail within a year of aging out, 32 percent graduate from high school and only 1-3% will graduate from High School. Whether you volunteer from home, at our facility or support us through your tax credit donation. Each one of you has the opportunity to change the trajectory of a child’s life.
