Wake Up! Take Control: Conquering Autopilot in Bold Networking

Don't Let Your Brain Sleepwalk Through Life!

Imagine your brain is like a car. Most of the time, it's on autopilot, just cruising along without you really paying attention. But sometimes, you need to take the wheel and make conscious choices to get where you want to go!

Autopilot

This is when your brain is running on automatic, using old habits and patterns to save energy. It's like your brain is sleepwalking!

Autopilot - self-limiting thoughts and conversations. 99.5% of the time our brains are running on autopilot to conserve energy and survive.

Tells

These are like warning signs that your brain is on autopilot. They're clues that you're not really in control, like blaming others, complaining, or making excuses.

Tells - Subtle change in behavior providing clues that autopilot is running us instead of our Intention.

Examples: Blaming, complaining, making excuses, justifying, and comparing.

Why Taking Control Matters:

When you're on autopilot and don't notice your tells:

  • In Life: You might feel stuck, repeating the same mistakes. You might miss out on exciting opportunities because you're not paying attention.

  • In Business: You might make careless errors, avoid taking risks, or struggle with new ideas. This can hurt your performance and hold you back.

  • In Networking: You might seem negative or uninterested in others. This makes it hard to build strong relationships and connect with new people.

When you notice your tells and take control:

  • In Life: You feel more awake and alive! You make better choices and create the life you want. You're open to new experiences and opportunities.

  • In Business: You're more creative, focused, and productive. You make smarter decisions and achieve your goals faster.

  • In Networking: You're more present and engaged with others. You build deeper connections and make a positive impression.

The Secret Code of Your Brain:

Your brain has a secret code! It's always asking, "Can this person or situation help me survive and thrive?" That's why you might sometimes feel nervous or unsure in new situations. Your brain is just trying to keep you safe! But sometimes, this "secret code" can make your autopilot say or do things that aren't helpful!

Linking it to other Bold Networking superpowers:

  • Integrity: When you're on autopilot, it's easy to break your promises. By taking control, you can strengthen your integrity and build trust.

  • Intention: Recognizing your tells and stopping autopilot allows you to act with intention.

  • Absolute Responsibility: Taking responsibility for your actions means acknowledging when you're on autopilot and making a conscious effort to take control.

  • Relentlessness: Overcoming autopilot requires relentless effort. It's about consistently challenging your automatic thoughts and behaviors.

  • Rigor & Sacredness: By applying rigor and creating sacredness in your life, you can train your brain to stay focused and intentional.

Call to Action:

Wake up your brain! Learn to recognize your tells and take control of your thoughts and actions. By conquering autopilot, you can achieve your goals, build amazing relationships, and live a more fulfilling life!
